I loved this story; as Kennedy so eloquently put it “Troy is everything”, his backstory explaining why he does what his does was incredibly moving. So far, Kennedy has been my favorite MFC; while being beautiful and incredibly smart, she also had common-sense and did not make Troy’s already difficult job harder.

What drew me initially to this book was how beautifully it was written. The poetic descriptions and intriguing quotes caught my attention. But it was Rose that kept my attention. I loved what she represented. She was a feminine, wealthy, black woman living her best life.
